The whole day by day thing went out the window as soon as I got back to work! So here's some catch up,
with everything from soup to nuts!

(PS - With our big thaw, these may be the last of my snow pix)

Day 23 -- The Texas Coast

Since the Coast is such an important part of anyone's lives who lives anywhere in South Texas, I thought I'd include it in my 30-day pictorial. The Coast is a place most people love to escape to every chance they get. It's a couple of hours away. We usually just head up for the day when we go.

Day 22
Bay City, MI. is proud to be the only official host port in Michigan for the American Sail Training Association's Tall Ships fleet. Magnificent Tall Ships will line up on either side of the Saginaw River in Downtown Bay City for the largest gathering of Tall Ships in the State this summer.

Bay City's award-winning Maritime festival, Tall Ship Celebration features three and a half days of mostly free family fun including hands-on craft activities for children, internationally-acclaimed Maritime musicians, interactive ship tours and so much more.

These shots were taken in July '06.

Day 23 - Outside looking . . . in?

I hope no one minds, but I've been playing by different rules here :) I have only used shots taken "for" the project, but I haven't taken one a day. I just don't have interesting stuff near me to do that with, so I have to go somewhere, and I don't always have the time to do that. So, when I do go somewhere interesting, I take a few pics (at least), and then spread them out a bit. Hope that works for everyone!

This is another shot from my London trip on Tuesday. I almost held this for this month's free study, but then decided that *I* like it, but the voters might not, and I'd rather share it here with all of you!

That said, I keep looking at the final version and thinking something isn't quite right (though I didn't do much in post-processing) . . .

Anyway . . .

I'll be sad when this is done.

hi amy ..
bet you were spitting chips if you're computer was down ... my internet was down for nearly two weeks & to stay in this 30 day thing i had to burn everything i did and go and use other ppl's computers to put stuff in dpc ... it sucked coz i really like to get lost on my computer, both in photoshop and dpc, and i only had limited time coz other ppl wanted to use their own bloody computers!! ... how selfish is that!! ... lol ... i was still able to use my computer for photoshop tho, thank god, coz otherwise i'd have gone insane coz i'm totally hooked!! ...
it was great meeting other dpc ppl on thursday and i reckon you'd'v had a blast .. they are a really really really nice group of ppl ...
i'm hoping they do it again .. and soon ..

Day 23: End of my first looooong week at work.

I love the way that the sun streams through the trees at the end of the day. I love playing with it in PS, too.....

I am too old to subject myself to a whole new time schedule easily. I have to get up at 4:00 A.M. and I DON'T like it!

Here's another for the catchup, too. This is an older one, but one of my favorites and an all time favorite genre. I never really thought of myself as a farm boy per se, yet I find the most incredible simple beauty in old forgotten farm equipment.....

Here's Lost in the Corncrib

Aren't the earth tones interspersed with the rays of sun just fantastic?

I found this place completely by accident and the people that own it are really nice about letting me take pictures all over the place.

Day 23 in Springfield, Mo
Shot these on the way home this evening. This frist one is a mural on a building just off the square in Springield. It is just a couple of buildings from Hickoks Steakhouse.

This is Hickocks Steakhouse. This is susposed to be where David Tutt crawled to and died after being shot by Wild Bill Hickock in a gunfight on the square in 1865.

This is a Painting of Wild Bill on the wall inside of Hickoks Steakhouse. Yes i did have a Steak there tonite, and it was good.

sorry i am so far behind on commenting i will try and catch up this weekend if at all possible. and Thanks to all for the wonderful comments my photos have recieved
