Congrats on the new job Jeb. I hope it all works out well for you. As for the snow, you can have it! We might get some tonight but right now it looks like ice and sleet will come first.

Day 13
Elmira, NY
It had to happen sometime, so here is a shot of Elmira's most famous resident.
The image was created by overlaying two photos in PS CS2, adjusting opacity, masking and then dodging and burning to blend. The final image was converted to grayscale using the lightness channel and quadtoned.
This is my first real attempt at an overlay picture like this so any criticism or suggestions would be appreciated.

Day 12 - Seminole Florida - Seminole Lake Park:
Day 13 - Gatorland - Central Florida. We had really stormy weather here today so these are pics from last summer. My son was here to visit and I took him to Gatorland. It is an iconic Florida landmark and tourist attraction. More details about the place under the first picture description:

AUSTRALIA. NSW. PICTON ...
my internet is still not working, but i've taken heaps of pics and burned them onto disc so that if i was at someone's place with internet i could put them in dpc ... i wont be able to comment on other ppl's until my internet is working .. telstra (the phone company) is coming tomorrow ... which doesnt actually mean that it will be fixed!! ...
 
coz i dont know if i'll be able to get to use internet tomorrow or EVER!!! ... i'm putting the next day in as well ...

i hope its not a problem putting so many photographs in for a day???
just in case i cant do anything tomorrow i'm putting DAY 15 in now ... here's hoping my internet gets fixed ... i'm really missing having the time to look at everyone elses work in this challenge ...
when i woke up this morning there was a beautiful mist .. so i was out of the house IMMEDIATELY with my CAMERA!! ... these are some of the photographs i took ...

  These are store backs that face a parking lot. Taken 2/12. Since we were getting 15" of snow with 30mph winds yesterday I didn't get out except to clear the drivewy. Which I will get to do again since it drifted shut again during the night. Oh well, I guess I need the excersise!! |

So it dumped about eight inches of snow here yesterday, turned to sleet at nightfall, did the sleet thing all night long, at 7:30 it's RAINING, and it's supposed to rain throughout the morning before turning back into snow for the rest of the day.

Day 14
How about a where i work shot? I had to work until after dark yesturday and its to cold to get and take shots on the way to work so i just stepped out and took a shot of the front of the building here at work. In case anyone wondesr what we do here. We generate all the Electricy for the Rural electric coops in the state of Mo. This is the HQ and control center. So from this building we control the power grid for the State.
Sorry i still havnt had time to catch up on comments. Too busy here at work and the wife and Daughter are planning a trip to Europe next month so they kicked me off my computer at home so they can make travel plans.

This is my house. I cheated and used a shot from summer. I bought this a year ago right around Christmas. The house was empty for a couple of years. Since it was winter, I didn't know what kind of flowers would come up in the spring so it was a nice surprise.
This came up at the corner of the house. It's kind of overgrown, but I love it!
