Somehow I've missed this thread - thank you most kindly Louis. I'm incredibly flattered! I'll second Zeuszen's nomination of goc's shot of his son - one of my favorites of the year - to me it's a perfectly captured moment. |

Hi all,
To me, the most emotive scene is this homeless person in Ottawa On (Canada's capital) .... He call himself "Street Poet"... and never ask for anything...
Night and day, rain or shine, cold or hot, he is there... he write poetry or make drawings on pieces of anything he can put his hands on...
When (after asking him) I took his picture, it was realy cold... I ask him if he was cold... he said "I'll be OK"
I've been so shocked that I could hardly sleep all night..
I made him some cards of him (with envelopes in a clear plastic bags) and gave to him to be sold (with his artwork) so he could keep the money...
To me this is the most emotive scene...
( to bad, I don't know how to include the picture taken)....
Born to be free.

I looked over this thread...and well, am surprised by and appreciative of those who posted shots of mine...
can't say there is another thread I would be more interested in being associated with...and nothing more moving than being praised by those you admire!
adding one more:

Trente is an awesome photographer: one of the guys who really maintains the spirit of Magnum, for me. You should look out Matt Stuart also. |

This image by terje is very emotive to me not in the normal way we feel emotion from an image but I can really feel the power and the excitment of the gig.
It brings back fond memories.
I rated it as one of the best shots on this site IMHO.
