Respectfully request admissino to team suck. After viewing my scores ... maybe I suck too much for team suck, now that I think about it. My current submission just made it up to 4.9. I DO suck.

Thanks for making me laugh. My entries are sucking and I thought you guys wouldn't mind my intrusion in this thread...

Bad idea - this is colluding challenge behavior.

Actually, helping each other and explicitly NOT voting on each others' pics is just fine. It's voting after knowing whose shot is whose, esp. if you helped with it, that's the problem. At least that's how I read the numerous threads and SC posts on the topic.

However, keep in mind that one of the things about us suckers is that we tend to like the offbeat, so you might be forgoing some high votes. :)

I actually took two different ideas for dirt, then failed to edit either one in time. Oh, well.

Now I have an idea for "for sale," but we'll see whether I take it and edit it in time.

Same for "sky."

having your second challenge at 4.9 doesn't suck, it's actually pretty damned good. i think i tanked out way below that in my first several attempts.

speaking of attempts...

Yeah. I like the way that our photos get discussed after the challenges, but I'm keen to avoid getting any sort of suspicion that team suck is looking at each other's photos before the challenges, especially with what happened in the WPL.

Keep it real.

And yes, I think it's a good point that the suckers seem to like the suck entries. If you do show your photo to another suckee and agree not to vote, then you could be missing out on a valuable score that will take you over whatever target you have.

I reckon you'd take a hit for it. When people vote, they are just aching for a reason to deduct from the score, and severed limbs will provide that reason.

If you can take 10 comments all saying "a wider crop would help", then enter it. Otherwise try for the re-shoot.

or, you could make it a close up. that way severed limbs don't matter...

is it good that i keep on coming up with seemingly original interpretations of the challenges? i always scan through the first day, to see how many other people come up with what i did. often, if i was convinced it was soooo out of the box, there will be couple of others with the same intent, and if i think it's pretty obvious, then i'll be the only one. so - are they so obvious only a twit like me would stoop to them, or am i insane and so far out of the box i'd need a comaps to find it.

hmm. i think i know which my husband would vote for...

Ahhh, mediocrity. Both of these have comments from Dr Achoo though. Maybe he is commenting on everything these days?

I've got an average, pretty sky shot I could enter, but I admit I'm a little scared with these new 'expert' rules. I've got an old Photoshop elements program, can't do HDR type stuff, etc. Expecting a lot of special effects I can't even come close to competing against (not that I'm really competing in any of these challenge, LOL!)

The member and open challenges both count, so you help out as long as you enter one of them. Dave, when did you find a day for a sky shot? The skies have not cooperated much lately, or they were nice when I wasn't looking! My dog is very handsome (at least IMO), but I can never capature that in a photo. Thought it would be cute to take a Christmas shot of him with a Santa hat, but I haven't asked that of him yet. Can't think of a good shot for For Sale, and as for Sticky...

I'm waiting for the next expert challenge to be honest. I want to see what the voting masses make of it, particularly in regard to how they deal with the section in the rules that says that the entries should remain photographic in nature. Whatever that means.

I've got about five shots I could enter into pets, with the one issue that so few people have entered FOR SALE that pets is going to be hard to come out with a good result.
