So my pal, and co-worker Josh Huber, also known to his close friends as "AJ" (Asian Josh), also know by DPC as Fastexposure is severely injured.
He broke his Temor (sp) in his leg. Not just a break, but nerve damage as well.
I have got to tell ya. He is 23ish, and ALWAYS has a smile on his face. He has the best attitude I have ever known from anyone in the business we both work in, and everyone else.
He is a kid at heart. Loves life. And if you met him on the street, talked to him, didn't know him from squat, you would leave commenting to yourself that Josh was in fact a great person.
He broke his leg when he went home somewhere back east surfing. Yeah, surfing. He is down for the count. At least a year comeback.
This means he is out of work, collecting disability, here in California, not home. He does not have family here in LA. Just friends like myself.
Luckily the insurance we get through our industry is super excellent, but that does not take care of the emotional, or the depressive part of the up comming year.
NO MATTER WHAT YOUR OPINION IS OF ME PLEASE HELP!!
If any DPC'er has a care in the world besides the challenges on this site, I am asking you for a little compassion.
My request to you is to submit some sort of a 'get well photo' to Josh, AJ, Fastexposure for the next year. OR, just PM the guy to let him know that he has support.
Here is the thread, all I need is your talent, your compassion, your time, your camera to help out a member and a friend.
Tommorow, when the day is new, I will submit mine.
Thanks, very much, in advance
Fastexposure

Ouch. Josh, get well soon, and I hope your recovery is straightforward and not too painful.
I don't know what do to for a 'get well' photo, sorry.. |

Josh, I wish you a quick recovery. Even though I don't know you I will put you in my prayers. Your young and should heal quickly. Be positive about the nerve damage as it can get better as well. I have been out of work for a while because of injury so if you ever need someone to talk to just PM me. I know about the up's and down's that come along with injury.
Take care and get well
SDW
Thanks for posting AH. |

Josh,
Karma the Wonderdog welcomes you as an honorary (and hopefully temporary) member of the "no hind legs" club and sends you a sympathetic "woof!"

I hope your recovery goes fast and well!
I have gone through a couple of serious injuries from tennis and that lead me to photography. I had a lot of time to fill that I would have spent playing tennis. I hope you find something interesting to do while you are off work and can't surf.
Good luck Josh.

Josh, sorry to hear about your leg injury. You'll be hanging ten again before you know it. My son broke his femur too awhile back and so I know the recovery process can be long. Hang in there and get well soon.
