		| | I love to shoot people. I like to take a picture of someone and have them says, hey I look pretty good in that pic. I like make people feel better about themselves. |

		| | I've been drawn to "travel photography" for about 20 years... doesn't mean I'm particularly good at it (which is a shame considering how long I've been plugging away at it) so much as it reflects what motivates me to take pictures... Even though I know there's just as much, if not more, for me to shoot right here where I live I just feel so much more excited and inspired when I'm travelling - I'm sure part of that is the joy of travelling itself which is a huge passion of mine. As to what constitutes a travel photograph, for me it can be anything from candid portraits, posed portraits, landscapes, architectural shots, market scenes, macros of building details or market stall offerings - in short, anything!
In more recent years I've been drawn to wildlife photography very strongly - which is a shame because it's an area where there's intense competition and a very large number of incredibly talented photographers. So it's not likely that I'll break through into the pro arena there - still I enjoy it so much I'll continue striving to improve.

I definitely think I'm getting better!

		| | If I could, I'd be in advertising - I love doing macro and product shots.
Landscape photography is up there, too, because it helps me remember the wonderful places I have seen.

I am NOT into people photography.

I feel the same as Telehubbie. I enjoy nature photography the most. Any aspect of it...landscape, birds, animals, flowers, macro insects. I feel most relaxed, complete almost, when I am outside with my camera chasing a butterfly or something similar. I don't get the same feeling with anything else. I will try my hand at photographing anything, and wish I was better with some other aspects of photography, but nature is where I belong!

Not so hokey at all. I'm in this boat too. There's a relaxation and sense of re-charging that I get from trapsing around the woods and fields with the camera. I love landscapes, skyscapes, anyplace with water, nature macros - the whole bit. You see things you might never have seen othewise, there's not a big sense of urgency - you can just be there with whatever's going on and enjoy it.

that's the most outrageous compliment; but it's also a continuation - if I have a personal style it's down to trying to imitate a couple of photographers (in the main JJ and Tony Ray-Jones), and then getting it slightly wrong.

Ed, when it comes down to immitation I pretty consistently get it wrong. Hopefully, on occasion...we hold our own.

 Cheers!
