And what was with the teddy bear? I've seen all the episodes a couple times and I don't recall any references to it.

The others are the crew who stole the child Walt. Who in turn was the child of Micheal. The teddy bear is Walts.

It was way to slow lastnight, they didn't do anything. Very dissapointed and now we have to wait 3 weeks for a new one : (

Yes, but I think they may have been the original crew of the Dharma Initiative. The informational video mentioned an "incident".

I'll give you that the Others are the crew that took walt. Why are they on the island (if they have a boat...) and why are they living so far inland with no trails?
About 18 or so of the back half of hte plane survivors were killed by 'the others'...Why? What are they hiding - i was thinking drugs or salvery (hence taking the kid) but now i am not so sure.

"Lost" is kewl. This week's episode was a tad slow. And 3 weeks? Gah.. Talk about teasing the audience..

from last week (and the website) we know that the hanso organization was working on several research projects. the bunker is basically the research center that took over a large part or all of the island. the center of the compound held the experimental nuclear reactor that either failed or was sabotaged, hence the thick concrete...

the execute button, is an experiment in psychology that was abandoned, though the subject was never notified.

the 'others' were the subjects of the parapsychology experiments and probably are the ones who caused hanso to abandon the island. ie, they got loose and hanso couldn't contain them...

my theory so far...

Personally I think the title of the series pertains to the feeling the viewer has more than the condition of the characters. I tell my wife every week how much I hate the show because it continues to draw me in every week. The series is a black hole very similar to this site. Once you are drawn in, there is no escape. It's an addiction stronger than alcohol, nicotine, and heroine. I hate the writers of the show for sucking me in to the plight of these characters and constantly teasing me with new tidbits of information only to further confuse me by adding newer tidbits of information. I am convinced that the writers and producers of this show are simply sadistic narcissists who get their sick pleasure by tormenting their viewers. Personally I'm done with this show!!! I refuse to continue to be a victim of this sadistic behavior (for the next 3 weeks at least).

WOW! What an episode tonight. It's my #2 favorite episode ever (behing Locke's first story). My daughter says it's her #1. The last three episodes were really worth the three week wait a while back.

Oh, and for some fun, check this out:

The last one (with the day by day recount of the tail section) was one of the best I think. I agree about Locke's back story, that was great too.

We watch it too. My daugher found it this year, and we watch it as a family. We rented last years DVD and watched those to try and catch up.

I agree the button is a no more than a psych experiment. And there doesn't always have to be a positive reward. According to BF Skinner's theories, "Negative reinforcement" uses negative consequences, and the absence of the something bad happening is the reward. Of course, with animals, they don't learn that until they get the nasty consequence at least once.

Tonight: Sayed (sp?) said that when he first got to the island, he tortured and killed someone. Is that something I missed?

Oh you mean, horrible nasty person you:-) :-) Hee.

This episode was fabulous -- and damn it! We are going to have to wait till Jan. 11 (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!) to see the next episode titled: Psalm 23 which if you saw the spoilers it will be Eco-centric.

i need more.
i dont think i can wait any more.
this show has completely degraded me as a human being.

January 11? Good God, I can't wait that long!

Another OUTSTANDING episode. The season started with a bang, got really slow for a couple of episodes and then WHAM, it's back as good as it was last year.

A great ending to leave us hanging for a month and a half.

yep hmmm, something else crazy to throw in, know one knows whats going on at all on this show, I was watching the news and even the writers of the show dont know whats going on or how the show will end.
11/30/2005 10:20:44 PM · #47
...sadly, my sanity is in the hands of these writers.

Yup, Jan. 11 GaH!!!

For any of you who are interested this is the site that I get my Spoiler info

//www.spoilerfix.com/lost.php

It has all the best and latest info/spoilers about Lost.

Something that was said in that spoiler 11/28 site was about a "Sayid/Ana Lucia relationship will be something that will carry foward in the upcoming episodes in ways that are different than people might think." Hmmm, let's see Ana-Lucia knows about Army/military issue weapons given her "conversation" with Goodman. I would not be surprised if she served in the Gulf War - the same war that Sayid was involved in as a Communications Officer. The other possible connection could be that since she was a cop in Los Angeles it could be that she had a case or was investigating something that involved Nadia - the woman in L.A. that Sayid loved and was going to see......
