She was damn annoying!
But not offensive to the eye.

yeah, they killed that girl off way too early in the series.

And I think Shannon needs a spin off series of her own - doesn't have to have a storyline, just 24 episodes of her laying on the beach in different bikinis would be great. They could have different `guest` stars each week - week 1, kate in bikini, week 2 Charlotte - etc.

I`d probably skip the Rose or Eloise Hawking episodes though..

Heres my preview of Episode 1.

Really?? Wow, that I want to see.

SPOILER

What I would like to see is someone re-edit the final season and cut out all the "afterlife" stuff, so the season just plays straight through. Then afterwards clip together all the afterlife stuff and play that straight through, would help make sense of it to those who didn`t get the ending.

We just finished Season 5. We didn't watch it when it was airing, but had always wished we had watched it from the beginning... so we've been buying the DVDs. Now we have to wait until August 24 (or whatever it is) so we can finally buy Season 6!

i hope you didn't read this whole thread :D

i too think the writers were well aware of where they were going.
remember jack chasing his dead dad into the jungle in one of the very first episodes... and again later jacks dad was seen taking care of Claire.
near the end its revealed he was the jacob's twin, aka the smoke monster.

Digging up an old thread. Finally got around to getting the first three series.. Just started watching them and its so good to see what hooked us on this show in the first place. As much as the writers said they didnt know where this was going when they started it - I think they was well aware - there is a part where John Locke (when he was still the good old JL) is playing with a Backgammon set, and holds up the two pieces, one black, one white, and explains to Walt its a game where there is a dark side and a white side.. Am I reading into it too much or was this setting the scene for the rest of the series? Black and white was a recurring theme throughout the whole series.

Has anyone else started watching these again now its all finished?

Enjoying this so much! Onto episode 5 now!

i think once he let the light in it just filled the whole "church" and they all moved on

Ben decides not to go into the church? any thoughts?
he wasn't "ready". he "had things to work out" he murdered many people he was just in the beginning stages of atoning for his sins on the island. alex was the first part of that. he has more work to do before he's ready to move on. of course just my thoughts

We have concluded that this has left the door open for a spin-off series perhaps with Ben back on the island as the guardian.

nah. we know ben was the new richard, hurley the new jacob, and it probably went on for many hundreds of years. no spinoff. it would ruin it.

I can finally look at this thread as here in Australia we have caught up with the final episode last Wednesday.

A few friends of mine were debating that episode and two points about the ending have us thinking:

Jacks dad walks to the back of the church at the end to a light and the others turn to the front to another light? anyone have any ideas if this is significant to the good Vs evil battle?

Ben decides not to go into the church? any thoughts?

I'm happy with the way it ended. It opened with Jacks eye and it closed with Jacks eye.

I watched the first season of Fringe, and just could not get into it. I'm kind of glad the television season is mostly over, because i've found myself watching way too much lately. I used to only watch 2 shows regularly, now i'm up to about 7.

Although I have to say the ending is still resonating with me even this morning as I think back on it. I have that musical strain of the piano piece Lost Music - Life or Death (about the 50 second line and beyond to give you an idea of what is currently playing in my head). The feel of the last episode ....poignant.

Now I don't know what my husband and I will watch with Lost being finished and Flash Forward having just been canceled.

Fringe by jjabrams :) I got the first season on dvd and going to start it this week. a few of my LOST pals have picked it up and rave about it...

i'm finding myself not as sad as i thought i'd be, i was kind of dreading the end, but now that's it's come and gone I feel strangely satisfied...

Flash Forward was cancelled??? They had a total of like 4 seasons already written and I thought they were going to go through with it. Dang it!!! All the shows I like get cancelled.

Yes, I love the show but I think they will only have one or two more episodes. You could read the book Flash Forward by Robert J. Sawyer (what the series is based on). BUT it is vastly different from the show in that for the show it was 6 months into the future but the book was like 20 years into the future...and no big conspirasy . Still very good book and made you think. Still it was a great show, well written and well acted - will miss it very much. Not much good T.V. on anymore.

I'm not entirely bought into the ending. I still have lots of questions floating around in my head, but at least it's over and I can move on.

@FourPoint7: Fringe is AWESOME!

I'm frankly shocked to hear that FlashForward is cancelled! My husband even loves the show, but have to admit that I've been wondering where they could go with it...ugh though, {{shakes head}} why do they always cancel the great shows?
