Yep, I think the hardest part will be keeping them under wraps for a whole month! A true test of my will power. :-)

Well i have taken some photos for my second day. It's a lot harder this time to choose which one , might have to draw a number out of a hat:(
Something which I have found helpful is too use the burst mode and aslo (thouigh some purists will be horrified!) to use the sports or action mode on the camera.
Even though I wont as I know it is'nt apprpriate I have an outake that would have been great except I cut of part of her ears!

Okay, day two, so far my subject has been helping, not fighting and going along with most of this. But I have a sneaking suspecion that this is going to cost me tuna soon, lots of tuna.

Deannda

Day 2 complete. Used more lighting but still getting red tones unless I use the flash. Gotta figure that one out. Anyone? I had an overhead florscent, two 100 watt lights on each side and another 100 watt overhead and to one side.

My "pet" seemed in good spirits even after sitting in my cold studio room all alone all day.

Today I learned I really need a better background than two white pillow cases that wrinkle easily. I've ordered some white muslin and should get it next week.

I completed day two also :)

Your tone issues may be a simple white balance problem. You could either set a custom white balance for the available light or shoot in raw and adjust that after the shot is made...

Are you setting a custom white balance? If not, you might try that. It could help and it's not hard to do. :-)

Edit: I see I'm too slow, yet again. :-)

Ahh thanks John. Maybe its time I tried shooting in RAW. I will do that during this 30 day challenge.

Wow! She's like the Anne Geddes of the pet photography world.

2 days, 2 shoots. I can't believe I haven't lapsed yet.

Well I'm on my third day and I am finding it hard once again too choose. It was a bit harder to get a decent photo this time I had to take over 100 photos. Not sure what exactly I am aiming for. What is probably my best shot is similar to another one I took yesterday. Should I choose this one since it is the best or should I choose one that is completely different.

Choose that one. ;-)

I wasn't aware this was supposed to be a full time job. LOL

Please please add me, I actually took a shot today the 8th. So I would just be one day late.

It's not my call but I don't see why not. In fact I don't even remember what the stakes are in this thing... :) I don't think we get college credit though.

I'm avoiding that problem by shooting only one picture of my subject each day (it probably helps that my subject is not a live animal). Today, it was in a tree, yesterday in a - well, a very cold place a live animal wouldn't like to hang around in.

Why didn't I think of that?? It would be MUCH easier to get my dog to hold still if he's dead. ;-)
