I added it to my profile (didn't realize you had to update it from the DPC interface).

I've also decided to do a matching pledge for retailers (if any are interested). I will donate an additional $10 for every 10 prints purchased.

Question do we have a thread or universal place to point people to those who are participating?

I'm also going to see about uploading an additional print or two...(so if anyone see's anything of interest in my portfolio - let me know - i'd love to know what shots people think would make good prints)

Thanks for the suggestion, Kavey. I'll update those links right now.

I don't know if there is a good central URL to point to for these efforts. I'm keeping my own DPC Prints URL up to date with all contributors at //philipdyer.dpcprints.com/, but if anyone has a simpler URL with more ability to edit the home page appearance, then that would be aa better option.

Any chance we could contact them and see if we could post a banner on DPC and add a option in our DPC Print Profile to "opt in". Then have a page that will display all participators?

I know it's a bit of work (a few hours actually) but I think it's a good cause. And well, once done it could be de-activated and if ever need simply re-activated.

yes we need something in place. As Im sure this is not the last time there will be a need for us to help.

I started another thread for helping but I am going to hold off for now until we can get some more details worked out.

More important than simply offering our prints

I am going to commit to buying a few prints. I don't sell a lot (nor have many for offer at the moment) so it is likely that my September totals will be minimal. So I am going to commit to buying a few prints from all of you!!!

Thanks, Jason. I sent a note to Drew and Langdon about working on a more centralized way to organize this effort and will post a note here if we come up with anything. Until then, I'm happy to make sure that the list stays up to date, and I'm glad to continue doing that and anything else for as long as it helps.

I've already bought a print, but I'm just so very sorry that I cannot buy any more. Moneywise, I'm way too short this month, and there's still the dollar conversion to my currency (1US$ = 2.65R$)

Just to let everyone know, I have added the referral tracker "Katrina" to all of the links I have posted to your DPC Prints accounts. When you click the Referral Reports link, the referring text will say "Katrina" if it came from one of those links. Thanks to TheSaj for his help with this. :-)

I have updated my list as well. If you look at my first post I also pledged to buy 2 prints from here to help as well. I have picked my two and will be buying tomorrow.

you know I don't have many pics for sale on dpc prints,
but I will donate all sales this month to help out too!
although I have never sold a print from there, may be the cause
will change that! If you have seen a pic that is mine and it is not

UPDATE: In an effort to centralize all of the photos and have a single place to point people who want to buy prints, I registered the domain name //www.katrinaprints.com and am putting together a site on smugmug with that name right now. It's not live yet, but as soon as it is, I will give everyone who wants to sell their prints a username and password so that you can upload your prints directly. There will be no approval process or delay in making the prints live, so you can post and remove your photos any time you like.

I'm planning on donating all of the money to the Red Cross or directly to a Katrina relief fund, if I find one that looks particularly good. If anyone has other suggestions, I would love to hear them. Thanks again to all of you who are participating in this effort and please stay tuned for more info soon! :-)

Finally got print up for sale. Proceeds will be going to local school district for incoming children. As you know I am from the Lafayette area only 120 miles from New Orleans. The effort from local citizens has been great. All the help is needed.
