Remnantsby connieComment: The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." Check. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? Check. Well done shot, it has an ethereal quality. |

Bookendby mcmurmaComment: The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." Check. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? Hard to tell. If there is a relationship between front and back it is impossible to tell. While the colors are complimentary, the background neither subtracts nor enhances. |

pawby redpandaComment: The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." A case could be made for the light on the whiskers as bokeh, but that's pretty marginal. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? There is so little bokeh to speak of that this doesn't really work for me- it's more just a shallow DOF shot of a common subject, though with a slightly more interesting take. |

Binky Bokehby -crtComment: The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." There might be a case to be made for bokeh on the highlit side of the baby, but it's marginal. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? I don't believe there is a relationship between the bokeh as defined and the foreground. To me this is just a shallow DOF shot. |

Former Glories - Lotus 49Bby PeterCComment: The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." Check. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? Check. I love the fact that even though they're out of focus, I can tell they're trophies and they relate to the foreground. The only nitpick I have is that I wish the car had a little more breathing room on the left, right and bottom of the frame- it looks a little crammed in, as do the trophies. Overall a creative and well done shot. |

Fresh Baked Snackby Zap228Comment: The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." We don't see that here. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? No bokeh really to speak of, just a shallow DOF photo. |
