Nice idea. This really brings back memories. Such a narrow & well defined DOF is distracting to me here. I wonder what result you might have gotten by bending back the paper in symmetry with the silly putty so that only the crease between them would plunge into (or out of) the focal plane, then rotate. The overall composition has nice lines and it's fun overall.

First, I'm a beginner, so take this with a grain of salt...
I do like the shot overall. The downside for me is that the bokeh feels distracting. perhaps the bokeh is too well defined on the outer edges, so a little softer, centered bokeh may have felt warmer. Also, I wonder what this shot would have looked like with just a little more DOF, allowing the sharpness to soften as you travel down the foreground branch. The repeating curves are indeed really pleasing and the placement of the main subject is perfect.

You have some great shots on your profile page and I hope to reach that level one day myself. They Went That-A-Way made me laugh.

Nice shot (& break). The difference in bumper shadows at the borders gives me a slightly off balanced feel and there seems to be a slight right tilt. I love the overall concept and execution. Good luck.

Hmmm, I'm surprised at your score too (I am fairly new however). I wonder if the sub 5 crowd saw the darkness, figured it was simple to throw together, and didn't stop to let their eyes linger.

I wavered 6-7 and went 7 ultimately. I found the overall composition of this shot captivating and I'm impressed at the affect you generated with such simple ingredients. Keep up the good work and don't feel bad that this shot doesn't fit the "soundbyte" rating system this time.

Very sharp (no pun) and great dof. This is really mesmerizing forrest of pencils. It looks like there's a pencil missing in the first row, 3rd spot in. Perhaps it was just sharpened too short :)

I like your picture although it seems like a stretch of the challenge. The model looks awkward with the guitar (no strap leads to holding it in strange ways unless it's held up with a knee). Then again, most people won't pay much attention to that.
