Scotch on the Rocksby rrdjservComment: For some, this will approach an Andres Serrano or Robert Maplethorpe level of sacrilege. Nice high key image. Wish the rocks could be almost as sharp as the lettering. |

P3bblesby DistantColoursComment: I'm liking the simplicity of three stones with differing sizes and colors but similar shape and texture. Should score high. |

On The Rocks ?by JuliBocComment: Excellent lighting, sharpness, and balance. The rays of red-gold on the background keep it from being routine. Good title and nice collection of rocks too. |

Daytrippersby GermaineComment: The yellow of the platform reminds me of the yellow sand in your recent post "Kayak Rental". The quality of light, those old style lamppost fixtures, and the building with tiled roof and arches combine to lend a timeless quality to your image. |

13 Ice creamby ordinaryangelComment: Great capture juxtaposing the big ice cream cone statue/sign with the actual cones in their hands while there was still a resonable similarity of shape. It also conveys a more universal message about different cultures around the world still sharing so much in common, including children and ice cream. |

15-june 09 where i live. girl on a poleby rozComment: What a treat to have a beautiful subject at hand. Although pole dancing exists in unsavory places, there is no reason to let that exclude better uses. Kids on playgrounds love the climbing bars and poles. Adults should not be deprived of such pleasures. |

Squirrelby MelethiaComment: Colors play well together here: orange/red, green. blue. Strong sunlight not ideal for a flattering portrait, but works anyway because it conveys instead a convincing sense of the natural world. Too many people miss what exists right outside our doors (even in the most urbanized places). This side challenge makes a good excuse to pay more attention to the everyday wonders that we tend to take for granted. |
