I had an elderly aunt who loved her nightly cocktail, but didn't like to drink alone. So she invited people for cocktails every night. Most people regarded these invitations as obligations rather than privileges.
One evening a guest offered to replenish her drink which she liked 'on the rocks'. While he was at the bar, he saw a decorative bowl of small Lake Superior stones nearby, and he used those stones instead of ice. It was intended as a joke, and he assumed she would notice the joke immediately. But she didn't, and began sipping the drink.
The guest didn't know what to do at that point, but finally decided he better point out the stones, before she choked on them. Instead of laughing and enjoying the joke, Aunt Helen was horrified and accused the guest of trying to poison her.
To this day, no one who was at that cocktail party can order a cocktail on the rocks without remembering Aunt Helen.

These stones are actually candy rocks, made to look like Lake Superior stones.
Hmmm that looks like one stiff drink you got there :) I love how the liquid is glowing too. What a great story to go with your shot. You should share this with your family lol.
This is very clean and sharp in its presentation. The colors are vivid and the lighting is great. "On The Rocks" is not what I would have titled this. The stones in the glass take away from the decanter of liquid. A 4.
Excellent lighting, sharpness, and balance. The rays of red-gold on the background keep it from being routine. Good title and nice collection of rocks too.
