In Through the Cat Doorby thatannemarieComment: I think this shot could be really great, I think it needs to be re-shot without the bright light coming in on the left, or cropped out. And give him some room on the right to see a bit where he is looking too. funny shot. |

Untitledby andywightmanComment: I will be interested in how you do with this, i am sure you've gotten some does nt meet challenge comments, but I think it is a creative take on subject, requiring a good eye. Nice capture of water movement. |

three firefightersby fstopopenComment: Good photojournalistic shot, good angle on the fireman. Too bad tree was on the left. Still very well done. |

Lifetime Habitby carmenscameraComment: Hi and greetings from the CC
I like that you did not include the other tap, it makes for a little more interesting shot. Generally a good shot in a hard challenge. I like that you chose a subject with interesting and older hands. The lighting seems a bit off somehow perhaps set for outdoors vs. indoors? I would like to see it with the drainage hole PSed out perhaps (tho know u cant for this challenge) it is a little bit distracting. I would also like to see this shot as a B&W with a bit more contrast.
overall well done.
happy shooting. |

7 up habitby kuarkComment: HI greetings forom the CC. This is not a bad portrait, tho I can see many thinking 'did not meet challenge'. My biggest criticism would be the subjects glasses. Primarily because as humans we see so much in a persons eyes, it is our way of connecting. I would like to see it reshot without them. Now I will ssay that the inclusion of them , does help the viewer to focus more on the lips and glass which is perhaps the point giving the context of the challenge topic.
The strongest feature of your shot IMO is the lighting, it is very well done on his face. Thought the color is a little overexposed. Just some thoughts...happy shooting |

More like an addiction...by jameshearnComment: hi greetings from the CC
I like the diagonal line created in the shot by the hill. Good use of depth of field in both foreground and background isolating the subject. I think this was a hard challenge and you managed it fairly well from a tech point of view. Tho the shot lacks a little wow. I think a horizontal format may have helped to give the viewer a bit more insight as to what you were shooting. And perhaps had we even seen the photog.'s subject may have added a lil more umph to the shot. This of course may also have been achieved by the fotog in shot stepping back a lil creating the illusion of more space on the right. A tripod also may have helped to add a lil more of a dynamic. Just some thoughts hope they help...happy shooting. |

Pondscapeby Links 2 3 4Comment: This is the best fitting photo for this challenge, not to mention a great shot. How did you get underneath that way? very nice, my choice for blue. My only suggestion would be to clone the brown spots off the leaf on the right. |
