Nice water shot. Wonder how many will not see the "3" shape made by the rocks. I almost missed it.

I will be interested in how you do with this, i am sure you've gotten some does nt meet challenge comments, but I think it is a creative take on subject, requiring a good eye. Nice capture of water movement.

I was looking at this, thinking where is the three in this Then it hit me... great shot, hope you don't get hammered for this being to subtle. 10

Interesting shot for this challenge. I can see a three in the stones shape. I'm not sure it's obvious enough to score very high. Your scores might be all over the map. I'll be curious to see how you end up. Good luck!

Too much top left hand corner detracting from 3 shape?

Assuming that your intention is to show the 3 shape formed by the rock? I think that's going to be too subtle for the bulk of voters, though i like the composition and movement you've captured.

Nicely done and interesting but I'm not sure what it has to do with the theme.

hmmm, i do like this, can see how it meets the challenge, but it takes a bit of looking I think which some folk might not see.

The reflections in the stone could probably have been removed if you used a circular polariser (Well, that's if your camera can take one)

A good long exposure here, shows the water very nicely!

Really pretty. Your composition is very effective and works well. Lighting and exposure seem very effective. Have you tried this with a really long exposure to get a misty effect? It might be fun, but t his works for me, too, since I can enjoy the texture and lines of rock and water and how hey interplay and contrast. The white spot at bottom right directs my attention there a bit too much perhaps, but still a nice shot of something simple, yet interesting. 9

I sort of see a 3 formed by the bends of embankment. Or are the bends the 3 part? Not sure. But the 3 formed by the erosion of this falling water might have been more evident if shot a bit more to the right and higher up as well.

I scored this a 4 because the link to the challenge isn't that strong. However, it is a beautiful shot of rushing water that has both good coloring and choice of exposure time and DOF.

This must be John... I like these water shots a lot! The spot in the upper right corner is a bit distracting, it doesn't seem to fit the texture of the rest of the photo. Great shot though.

Ah, there it is. I'm not one for using titles as cover-alls for challenge submissions, but maybe a title might point people in the right direction?

Really striking and I can see the three.

subtle 3. i like it when i'm forced to think & analyse what i am looking at.

Beautiful shot, don't see correlation to the challenge.
I like the composure of this, but it will probably get slamed for not fitting the challenge.

3 of what?
05/31/2004 02:20:02 PM
Sorry, but maybe it's me but I do not see the connection between your photo and the challenge requirements.

It is a nice image of water and rock wall, however with nice details and sense of motion with the water.

Really have to look hard to see the (3) shape. A few spots of glare, but realize you could not control these.

You couldn't find a more subtle 3 to photograph? ;-) Nice shot.
