Again, this image has been burned to oblivion. While some of your images are outstanding, the excessive use of post-processing in many of your images tends to detract from an already beautiful capture.

Thank you I will make prints as soon as someone teaches me how to do that :) I´m to lazy to try to figure it out myself :p

I always burn my edges to bring out the subject too. I think it's a good practice, and you've made that part of your signature on many fabulous photos. The only bits you maybe overdid were on the blue sky part, since the burning always turns out grey. A little dodging on the dark horse might have livened him up a little too. Nice perspective, and nice the the horses posed for you like that :) Great shot

Thanks for all who commented :)
I am going to try to relax a little on the burn tool next time :)

I just knew this was Iceland! What a beautiful photo. The clouds kind of follow the shape of the horses. I love it!

Looks like a good postcard photo. Color is a little dull though, and I see some odd burning and dodging spots.

What a beautiful shot. I love the green grass, everything about the two horses and the sky.... Just a gorgeous photo...

I think you made a good choice using the PS tools to make a good picture even better

I'm not one for horse photos, but this one is cool. I wish the grass was greener, 9

strange lighting with the darkness, but a very sharp shot

Very pretty shot. The detail and DOF is great. I'm not a fan of the darkened outer area (Pshop burn tool?) as it seems to detract from some of the detail and colors.

These are beautiful! They look like the shaggy Icelandic ponies. The light is so moody in this picture. Fits the challenge well. Good work!

Although the lighting has an unnatural almost "studio" look..I like the effect and feel it works very well with the subject matter.
Not being an expert on post processing techniques I`m guessing that you have achieved this look through dodging and burning ??
Good work

I rather think folks will like this. I find the dodging and burning a bit ... well, sickly, really: over-egging the pudding, for me. Definition and toning on the lighter grey horse/pony is excellent, but aking the sky so close to black, and the fake-looking darkening of the grass, and a sense of lightening in the sky around the faces all comes across to me as taking things too far. wouldn't be at all surprised to see it win. 6

Uh oh, this one is awesome. I may be in trouble. I would have used a different Title probably, "mother and son" just doesn't sound right. But the pic is great. :)

This is stunning! Dramatic sky, dramatic point of view. Honestly one of the most pleasing images I've seen since joining DPC.

Positively majestic shot of these two beautiful animals. Great sky, excellent use of the challenge theme and nice choice of lens to add depth from this angle. I don't care too much for the darkness around the edges of the image, but that's just my personal taste. Well done, nonetheless. 9

This is my favorite shot in the challenge, the lighting effects, the horses, the perspective, the clouds...awesome, the only thing i don't like is the competition you'll gove me : ), very well done!

nice. looks like typical "heida burning". but the burning in the sky bothers me as the sky should be a uniform gradient.
