Marina in Decemberby MorganComment: Interesting perspective shot this, its just unlucky that it doesn't line up perfectly square, and that lefthand side railing is a bit distracting, but there's not much you can do about either of thoset :o) The blues of this shot really add to the sense of this being frozen - this shot may work well as a blue-based mono/duotone. |

Angel's flightby catpixelComment: Interesting use of the sun to create a silhouette, and the bird (pigeon?) in flight is a nice catch. However, due to the silhouetting and the angle, the wings on the statue dont make it immediately clear what it is - a few paces to the right would mean that the left wing didnt go throught the statue's head, and it would still be silhouetted against the sun. The focus on the background feels a bit off - I'd prefer it if the DoF was either a bit deeper with everything in focus, or a bit shallower, with the background trees more out of focus. |

Linksby jjbeguinComment: The textures on this are superb, as are the colours. My only complaint would be that the focus doesn't feel quite right, but that may be due to a limitation of the camera. |

First Snowby BAMartinComment: A good candid action shot, but the shot needs rotating so that the verticals of the fencing are fully upright, which would also make the slope seem steeper, adding to the action. The colours are quite muted, so the pink jacket really jumps out, drawing attention to the action, which is good :o) |

Driftwoodby GraciousComment: The shapes, lines, and detail in the grain of the wood are amazing - it's just a shame that large areas of it are blown out. Some levels adjustments might be able to rectify this, depending on what the original was like. |

Harsh landsby NatashaComment: The bare tree silhouetted against the cloud-covered sky really works well, and is enhanced even more by the (very appropriate) use of b&w. The only niggle I have is that the lower left branches merge into the side of the building, but thats minor. |

Hanging On by welcherComment: Wow, great macro shot! The colours, DoF, and focus are all spot-on. I'm not so sure about the twig on the left though, and I would probably crop it out of the shot, but otherwise this is a superb shot. |

One Man Bridge Bandby alanfreedComment: Great candid shot, beautifully focused. However, I personally would have cropped more to the right (if possible), since the uprights on the left don't add anything to the shot. Also, since the colours are quite muted, this may have worked well as a b&w shot. |

Blow Itby KonadorComment: This looks like its been lit by a Christmas tree or some disco lights or something ;o) The shallow DoF is great, but the blown out highlights are a bit distracting. The rich colour contrasts well against the black background, and the framing is good. |

Gone But Not Forgottenby autoolComment: The contrast between the grey sky, black stone, and the colours of the wreath works really well, and the composition is good too. |
