Knifeby doc_gonzoComment: very dramatic and intense image - the lighting and brightness on the knife with the shadow running across at an angle provides very good composition. I can't think of a thing to improve on this one! |

9by mia67Comment: i love these still life images - good placement of the pears and solid lighting. i see a little noise/ texture in the background that I am not sure if it is intended or not. |

Ladder of Deathby jackal9Comment: when i looked at the thumb - I had no idea what this was! Sweet perspective. Did you try climbing it to get a better view? I really enjoy the lighting - especially the shadow behind the ladder - nice contrast for the rest of the elevator |

Desolationby noranekoComment: Considering the abuse your sensor took to get this image (+2 stops) it came out great! I love the textures of the sand and the way the clump of desert grass plays with the waves. It is just a little unfortunate that the horizon on the left gets lost against the sky due to the blown-out-ness. |

The cloistersby mimidComment: I thought this was an awesome perspective and gave it a 9 during the challenge. Great lighting, colors, and repeating lines. I can't understand why anyone would give this a 1 or 2, but maybe the presence of the person in the far right made it not symmetrical to them - I don't get it!!! Great job. |

Simple Greenby noranekoComment: Really nice image Catherine - love the depths of the green tones in the leaves, the dew to add needed contrast, and the placement at an angle across the field of view. I think this last observation may have hurt you a little with the viewers as people wanted to see a 'symmetrical' image more than symmetrical objects. I gave it a 7 during the challenge. |
