these are flowers that i bought to put on my mother's grave, she died last june ... i took the photos in january .. i havent had time to take many photographs in the last couple of days but did have time just now to do a quick conversion to black & white on all three images .. using adjustment layer hue/sat and totally desaturating .. then curves and channel mixer ... no cropping ...
did kokak airbrush which is like noise ninja, only different!! .. sharpened ...
combined all three images in one file after flattening each one, border, saved for web ...

did a colour version as well ..

Roz - the curves and softness on the flowers are just gorgeous! I think your mom can see this pic and most likely loves what you have done. Excellent triptych!

This makes such a beautiful triptych! I love how you have used a white background on the middle one to give all 3 photos a frame!

I'm so sorry about your losing your mom :( I lost my mom 3 years ago, and my heart is still so tender over the loss that I can find myself weeping at any moment that I think or talk about her. These are gorgeous flowers for her!

sorry to hear about your mother, these are beautiful shots and I'm sure the flowers themselves were specatcular. What I really like most are the multiple soft, sweeping curves, repeated through out all three images, with the brightest area for the two outside pictures being the center of the image, the main subject. This is contrasted with the very bright background of the second image and made even harsher with the straight hard transition between the first and second (reading from L to R)That doesn't work too well for me, this might even work better as a dyptich with just the first and third. Regardless, all three images are fantastic shots and work really well in b&w.

This is a very lovely triptych! I especially like the dark-light-dark with the background - that works very well. Nice detail combined with nice smoothness - a very good balance.

I love what you have done here Roz, as it is a wonderful tribute to you precious Mum.....
This is a very appealing triptych, especially with the two darker tone flowers on both sides, of the more high contrast flower image in the middle..... Just wonderful.....
