i tried a shot like this once, found it incredibly difficult to pull off. you've done it nicely, bravo!

they look too scary in b/w. id rather see it in color. And a bit too much dust/stuff on the ground.
but on the good side i love the composition. it looks like one pear is hugging the other. |

You captured a good bit of detail in the mottled patterns of the pear skins - this is the sort of thing that gets missed in color. Like how you arranged the pears. |

I really like the compostion, the curves and tones. There is some dust, etc on the R that is distracting, and I'm not too sure aabout the shadowns, perhaps either more or less but they look a bit too cut off here.
Nie job, good subject for b&w.

Those are some pretty ugly pears. I guess black and white just can't do them justice, though I like the hint of reflection at the bottom of the composition. |

i love these still life images - good placement of the pears and solid lighting. i see a little noise/ texture in the background that I am not sure if it is intended or not. |

A wonderful transion from color, to black and white.....
I have always loved this composition, re how the pear to resting on the other pear. |
