Stairsby DustinComment: Very interesting composition. It seems that the picture to be underexposed lacking in detail in the bottom steps and under the bottom steps and I believe that it takes away from the energy of the picture. I would prefer more detaiil there. This could have been done by exposing for the shadows or with either fill lighting or reflectors. |

WOW! A Still Life!by MarkRobComment: One issue with this photo is that there is just too much empty space in the top third and the background material is just not that interesting to look at. You could have cut a lot of that out by a tighter shot/crop. But if you wanted to maintain this shot, a tall vase with flowers or the like would have added a lot to fill up the space. Another issus is the the lighting, which appears to be overhead, should instead be directed more at an angle with front or side lighting. The pic on the whole appears underexposed, and this could easily be fixed with better lighting. Also, the angle you chose to take the picture does not reveal a lot of your subject...A higher angle showing more of the fruit I feel would be much better. I hope you haven't found this to be too critical, as I really just want to help. If you do feel so, I apologize now. |

Stella Harmonyby goodtempoComment: Very nice shot. The only thing that I would have liked to have seen is that the curve of the guitar hole not be cut off so that the base string would have met it both above and below. Maybe pulling back a slight bit would have accomplished this. |
