Congrats on your second ribbon in a week. Both great pictures. Not to be a nitpicker but "The Wave" is across the border in Arizona and not in Utah. While hiking you crossed the State line. :)

Hard to get a pass into The Wave. They take reservations months in advance. How did you manage to get in. It is a world class photo op.

What did I do wrong?

Interesting choice for a long exposure image when it is hard to remain still for so long. Composition and framing are fine but the yellow/red color cast is too strong. If you uses Hue/Sat and selective color for color correction colors will be mted but look better. But then you can desat completely with another hue/Sat layer then add a last Layers adjustment you can make a really decent B&W image out of this. That might fit the theme of this image much better.

Very, very nice astronomy shot. Good colors, good tracking. Might consider sharpening more to make the individual stars stand out more, especially the high density galactic plane ones on the left.
