 Some of you might recognize the windmill and the location from a wintery landscape that is in my portfolio. It was difficult to get something decent, the light is a big problem and I had to guess the exposure and than count the seconds. I needed 180s at f/8 after experimenting with 90s at f/11 so my counting is fine. :)
To the left there is a busy road with road lights and traffic lights and I also had to hide the light in front of the windmill behind the fence. :)

The outcome was surprisingly bright (app 23.10 was the time of this exposure), it didn't get really dark before 1.00 in the morning. Had to work so no really dark starry night pic.

The colors might seem very saturated. But I didn't touch them with any Velvia or saturation tool. The problem was that the blue channel exposure had clipped, so the photo was way to blue/purple. I had to compensate with negative compensation on the blue channel curve, which in turn resulted in very warm green. I personally like a bit of saturation so I left it that way.
No need for noise reduction whatsoever, the outcome was very clean and sharp. I was surprised even by the sharpness, because the 12-14 had not overwhelmed me so far. Thanks to Manfrotto and Philips (remote) for doing a fine job on a windy night as well.

I bet it will do pretty poor in the challenge and Peter will kick my ass when he has been to Kinderdijk again...
