The remains of a forest from the fires earlier in the year. Would have liked to have left this in colour, but the recent rains have resulted in a lot of green plants.

Seems a little over processed but thtat adds to the mood. The title is the only thing that tells me this is a burnt forest and is therefore desolation. In the photo all I see is wire and in the background forest trees and snow.

Good idea but a little too dark. The barbed wire doesnt dominate.

Good photo depiction of desolation. Perhaps the best I have seen so far. It also evokes the feeling of desolation.

I like this image, the high contrast really adds intrest. I also like the effect that was applied to the background (I hope it is an effect) almost looks painted. Very nice
