Lonely Daysby BeeCeeComment: Rain is a good means of suggesting romance or sadness. In this case, not bad. A piece of wet paper lying on the ground, crumpled or partly folded would have added to the visual language you were using. |

Sad Windowsby Rae-AnnComment: They are sad and this looks like typical urban desolation. Now we need to turn it into an eye-popping photo without taking away the sadness and ugliness. How, is the question. I'm not sure I have any suggestions. Possibly it would have worked better if the photo had been taking on the skew. I know, a head looking out of one window would have added the appeal needed. |

what happened?by zaflaboutComment: Sitting on the floor is certainly a sign of adult desolation. It's a nicely composed image. I would have preferred it to be a bit grittier and dirtier. It is, IMO, a bit too clean, if you know what I mean. |

Forsakenby ZoomdakComment: The pale sun balances the odd leaning pinacle. The shadowy figure has just enough definition to be recognizable as a figure. I like the grey tones. It all works well. |

Deserted Islandby jrjrComment: I think the subject works well for the challenge. The only thing which makes my eye dizzy is the blur going on - or is it my tired eyes? The branches are like dried bones and enhance the sense of desolation. |

Tattered Gloryby scarbrdComment: Flags usually repel me as much as photos of cameras do. But in this case, you have captured something quote delapidated and in doing so managed to portray desolation quite well. I only wish it had been tilt corrected and perhaps processed a little. Well done. |

Barrenby annahComment: A bit on the arty side - meaning not really gritty and dirty desolation. But it does fit the bill. |
