Looks like you needed to use a different WB setting, there is a definite blue cast from the shade under the tree. If you opened up the Channel Mixer in PS, and set the "Blue" channel from +100 to +50, you'd get an idea of just how better the colors for this shot could have been... perhaps closer to what you saw with your eyes in the first place.

The composition is great, but the lighting leaves the pic looking a little flat.

Great shot, good use of a shallow DOF to make an interesting background.

You might get dinged for the noise in this photo, I am assuming you are shooting with a smaller megapixel cam so something like Neat Image might help you... but your composition is very very good, and you chose a great time of day to shoot the monument.

I have driven past this monument for all of my life, but I have never seen it the way it was captured here. Great lines, the sky is wonderful. Good Luck.

The image apepars to tilt ever so slightly to the right due to the chosen perspective, I like the sun flare, it adds something to the photo, I hope you don't get roasted for it. Good Luck.

Nice shot, this one needs to be rotated a shade CCW to look "right". Our eyes expect pendulums to be up and down, and the tire hanging in the center of the picture clearly is off. The rope should be hanging straight down, as it would in real life.

Pretty shot, love the spectrum of textures and colors... the shot appears to lean too much to the right, though, the mountains on the horizon are close, but the rows of corn definitely make the shot "lean". - 6
