Ask her to circle the boat so I could try and get a speed shot, little did I know the red boat in the background would add the extra wow to the shot.

This is an amazing shot. Definitely deserves a ribbon. I'd rate this an 8

composition, focus, subject matter, great job. It's a wonder it scored so low.

Great focus, colour, exposure and sense of speed. I also like the composition and the expression on her face - she is moving fast. Well done - one of my favourites.

In my opinion this photo shows exactly what I would want to see representing speed. The slightly blurred background, the flowing hair and the water shooting back all lend well to the messege of the topic. The white around the numbers on the front might be a little over exposed but I barely notice it.

Well, there fast. The fact that the boat in the back is blurred makes this photo all the better, the only thing I would have changed is to try and get more spray from the sea doo in the picture.

Her expression conveys more about speed than anything else. Very original take on what would otherwise be a cliche. 9

Nice image. Great quality, colors, border goes good, but I would have liked to have seen more of the splash she is making though. But good one =)

The main subject is really sharp, on silky-looking water, juxtaposed with the red boat with the vibrant green of the bank. Excellent!

Excellent interpretation of the challenge. The blurred speedboat in the background going in the opposite direction gives your pic that extra kick - 9.

just great, everything is nice and crisp, the girl and the seadoo, very good additional element of "speed" is the red spead boat moving from the right, 10.

so close, but you cut the tail-end of the sea-do, fantastic picture and challenge, good luck, 9

Excellent panning and crisp focus on subject. I like the compostion with the wave runner to the left. I also noticed the rule of thirds is applied pretty well here. Nice frame too. 10.

Nice capture, just the back end of the ski is cut off a bit too tight. Nice colors, nice action.

Well done - you've left some space in front of the seadoo for it to point into. Shame you didn't get the tail of it, but this is still a good 'speed' shot.

Nice capture to bad you didn't get the jet ski more to the right side showing more of the wavs

I would like it better without the red boat distraction, cropped on the bow wave above the girls head would make a great shot.

Great sense of speed. Too bad that red boat is there, but oh well. Still a great shot. The water-to-land ratio is great also.
