I wanted to thank you for sharing this wonderful picture. I am sorry for the DQ, but I understand. I think the off center composition is perfect... and the lighting, woderful. But then, others have said the same thing :) I look forward to seeing more entries.

Composition: There is great placement of the subject in the rule of thirds placement. The leading lines created by the cross also guide the eye back to the subject. Personally, I might have given either a tighter crop on the right or wider on the left to give some symmetry to the cross.

Subject: This is probably what made you score less then you expectedâ€Â¦ In a similar thread, I asked for feedback, and the only comments were that a static statue as a subject matter was scored down. See Here
Personally, I like your subject, but it does take a moment to visually extract the subject from the cross due to the blending color.

Hope this helps.

I liked this one alot... I also appreciate the way in which you converted it... think I'll try it. I was not at all bothered by the background becuase you used such a nice DoF.

Very nice, my friend. I liked it even better then the “corner of the world.” I bet the print was even better... more detail.

Hehe... hat hair. I like that. So would my kid. Good filling of the frame. White ballance seems a bit off giving a yellowing overall hue.

Good color and composition. It has good power and intrest. Like many entries, there is some distracting excess hair (tough doing this in basic edit).

Clean and simple and meets challenge well. Well put together with a clasic pose. Well done. Personally, I think a little differentiation between the subject and the background would have been nice... perhaps a little backlighting on his shoulders to keep it subtle.

Nice frozen action. I like the contrast of the light on dark. just enough of the model to keep intrest and mystery. Well done.
