Eggs on saltby bob350Comment: I think the horizon in the background detracts from the shot - also it might have given your subject more impact to shoot from a higher angle.
I like the white on white and the strong side lighting. |

Untitledby munday95Comment: A model carrying a backpack heading for the door might have added a lot to this shot.
While it meets the challenge it's uninteresting to the viewer. Perhaps getting closer to the doors (which presumably are your subject) would have given you some more creative options. Also if this shot were taken early or later in the day you would have gotten more interesting lighting - it looks like this was taken mid-day so you get the doors in shadow and the uninteresting shadow of the tree in the middle of the picture.
I like that you tried to convey the meaning of the challenge and in a lot of ways yours met the challenge better than many people. |

Crayonsby mljComment: Blurry focus and unflattering lighting don't help this shot. It's not quite enough to be abstract either. The reflection on the center crayon is also distracting. I'm also not sure why we see the edge of the box on the left but the crayons on the right are cut off.
I do like a colorful subject and the attempt to do something more creative than the tradition crayon/colored pencil shot. |

Time to Review Geometryby levyj413Comment: Nothing in the picture itself says back to school to me. The title tries to tie it in to the theme but I think it's too much of a stretch. |

Watch Your Stepby dswannComment: This photo evokes emotion - reminding the viewer of a time when he/she was much shorter and the bus was both intimidating and inviting. Excellent use of perspective. I wonder if a model in the driver's seat looking down on the camera would have increased the impact. |

I'll figure it out eventually...by TammsterComment: Excellent depiction of getting back to school. The content on the test is even basic enough that you can imagine it being the first test of the new quarter - good attention to detail and creative presentation. |

But I don't want to go to schoolby Snorri94Comment: This picture really tells a story - the only critique I have is that the title seems to not quite complement the scene as well as it could. "First Day Back" might have worked better and lets the picture do most of the story telling. |
