 On the salt flats, just after nine in the morning. The salt is about six feet deep, and the crust is hard, so it took some work to chip out little divots so the eggs could stand up. The area where the world land speed records are set was open, so I was able to drive out onto the flats about five miles of the 10 mile track (even though I only cranked it up to 60 miles per hour). Once out there, it is very quiet and very strange. After the sun came up higher, the salt became very white.

Hey Robert, I'm sorry this didnt do better for you (thought a 6+ is still great!). I thought there was a good connection between salt and eggs but looks like the voters werent so sure. Still a great image and adding to my favs :-)

Wonderful location, but why did you choose to use eggs? Having the subject connect more with the concept would have made this image even stronger.

I think the horizon in the background detracts from the shot - also it might have given your subject more impact to shoot from a higher angle.

I like the white on white and the strong side lighting.
