Siblings At The River's Edgeby beautyqn25Comment: Beautiful shot. I like the use of BW & the DOF is very good. The water highlights seem a bit blown out in the upper left, but I love the crop and composition. Nice job. 8 |

Disorder in the Familyby LokiComment: Really great shot! Love the muted tones and expressions. Truly a family - LOL. Good DOF too - although may be a bit too dark in right background. 8 |

4.75by ImagineerComment: WOW! Fantastic idea and beautiful composition - great title too! The lighting seems a bit harsh to me (IMHO) and I realize that this was probably on purpose, but it is distracting to me. Love the muted colors. It took some guts to pull this off. What a great shot... Nice job. 9 |

That sea of shallow facesby strangeghostComment: WOW! Magnificent colors and DOF. It may sound weird, but the fact that the farthest mask (blue & gold) isn't as far behind the previous one as the others are. To me it is the least sharp and/or interesting (also the only one without a blue highlight surrounding the top of the head), and it seems to call attention to itself with its positioning. Yes, this is REALLY nitpicking (probably because I can find very little else wrong with the shot. Great job! 9 Bumping to 10. |

Exposing Their Loveby TDCollinsComment: Really good expressions and I like the sepia tones. I think most voters will probably count off for the "overexposed" appearance of this shot, but I assume this was a conscious choice in connection with the title ("Exposing..."). |

Growing familyby PippiComment: Great shot and DOF! Love the crop showing the height of the rock face (including all the bird poop - lol). The white on the gulls' heads is a little bright and the shadows in the rocks is a little dark (IMHO), but otherwise it's difficult to find anything else negative about it. Very nice job! 10 |

Shyby siggiComment: Great DOF and composition! Love the expression too. At first, I thought the shot was too bright, but upon further examination I think it works - brings out the innocence, purity, and frailty of the child's expression. Really nice job. |

Don't Just Lie There, Mom!by cloudsmeComment: Great capture! The hand placement is a little odd, but probably very natural (just seems to draw the eyes to Mom's private parts). Good DOF and really nice composition. Great job! |

Universal Symbolby cools98Comment: Nice shot and good sentiment. I like the reflection idea, but the double reflection shadows are a bit distracting (IMHO) - the single reflections are fine. Maybe this was caused by multiple light sources? Also the highlights are a little overblown. Still, a very nice shot that I like a lot. Just my 2 cents... 7 |

King of the Castleby fifieldComment: ROFLMAO! OMG, that is sooo funny! Very clever and certainly meets the challenge well - the family's crap is everywhere! The lighting is a little harsh and the DOF is just okay, but I really like this shot! |
