I guess shooting things through fluid-filled glass containers is the technique du jour. Think it works here better than the beer bottle, though I cannot say why. But I wonder whether we might be drawing near the end of the days where everything looks better through a beverage glass or bottle. I think I've gotten there.

My initial reaction to this photo was very negative. But I find it clever technically and conceptually. And when I veiw it in context of what it is communicating, I find my opinion of it has improved markedly.

Keep experimenting. I find this photo completely unbearable to look at because I find the yellow smudges too distracting. And the rest of the photo is dull dull dull also boring and uninteresting. But I know there must be many other ways of using these kinds of lights in a photo. And in that sense the photo is in the vangard.
