Laundromat.jpgby JuneBug28Comment: Sometimes public places that normally have a lot of activity produce a sort of subtle lonely or empty feeling when they are photographed uninhabited. I get that from this photo. There's also a kind of post-industrial sterile coldness to the space. Both of these notions are accentuated by the low camera angle which is a position of low power. That's what I see, anyway. |

Kimmel Curves and Lines IIby banmornComment: The building is so well abstracted in this shot that in the thumbnail view, one wonders how those interesting lines were constructed. I love the textures and the colors as well as the strong rhythm. |

...corn, that isby kostiaComment: Originally posted by GinaRothfels: Nice photo, but I really don't see how it fits the challenge. |
Oh the joys of living where the weather is forever perfect; where the ice cream man could be just around the corner any afternoon of the year, and a morning or evening walk is always animated with the sounds of birds and insects.
I love the colors and the shapes. I think it's fun to take everyday things and make abstract photos out of their parts. And I like the humor. |

Napoleonian warsby rhipsterComment: The costume is fantastic. The model's expression is priceless. I like the brick wall The vat is an interesting touch, but it seems a little non-martial and it interferes with the rifle. And as much as I love to photograph dead wood, I think the stick is better left out . I think the shot might be better with a little more bokeh.
A nice effort. |

Rebel Houseby leliathomasComment: It's an inspired choice of subject. And it's a great treatment of the subject. I'd like to see a little more of the detail in the dark spaces. And there is a fuzzyness that, even if intentional, I find detracts from the photo. |
