OK, so its not innovative, but it sure as hell is for me ;-)

Sheet of A4 white paper with 2 corners glued down in a sort of 'S' shape. Laid on a black card surface and backdrop. Lit from above by room tungsten and below by a 550EX flash.

This was hand held for six second, but used a flash to hold the paper and get some sharpness. A bit of a mistake really if I'm truthful, because I had the camera in Av mode and it chose to hold for 6 seconds. I was actually going for M mode and 1/125 second exposure ;-)

Anyway the handheld part of the exposure has provided quite a nice 'blur', with the flash providing a nice sharp edge.

PS work:

shifted the hue from the tungsten orange to blues, rotated and cropped to give a better angle on the paper.
Sharpen and contrast.

Really satisfying shot. A good abstract that would look striking at poster size in a decent, contemporary bar.

It took a minute for me to figure out what it was. Very nice.

It is out of such common objects that make a great clever illusion. I came back to this image. Well, my eye problems prevented my return for comment. This a fascinating because at first I thought it was a shell. Then I discovered it was paper. This image certainly qualifies as bng. Congratulations on your top 20 finish.

Nice abstract and colour, great simple background, great light, although the crop/composition is not as appealing.

There's quite a bit of nice detail considering this was handheld, I wouldn't have guessed it. Nice work. Very simple subject and technique: I dig it. 7

Gorgeous blues here, and it looks great set off from a black background. I'll be interested to read about this later :)

Nice abstract entry. Probably a good idea to explain your technique in your title for this particular shot. Well done!
