Good composition within frame, and unusual in a portrait not to see the eyes. Somehow draws you to the eyes anyway! Paradoxical! Like the white space at the right.

Nice and crisp, but don't like the way that the right is within the frame but the left bleeds out of it (can't think of the word I want, bleed isn't quite it really). Like the monotone colour scheme. Is it colour and then desaturated or are the items all black white and grey really?

This is just beautiful. Such striking colours and composition.
If _looking_ for a criticism I'd say only this - the white pencil bleeds seamlessly into the white background - the red pencil doesn't bleed into the red background because of the shadows. But then, it wouldn't work without any shadows, as they give the pencils form and dimension, and the shadows would look bloody weird if they were on opposite sides for each pencil. So I don't know that it would be something you would want to change anyway.
This is in my top three photos this week, very very striking.

Feels like the pencils have been stuck there purely to allow a photo of bird to be entered. Fair enough, just seem really out of place in it. I know those little fellas move way too fast but it's just too blurry for me. I do like the way the green background forms it's own wonderful shape between the shadows.

Beautiful colours and lighting. Vibrant. I love that it's abstract but this particular composition doens't work 100% for me. Do you have outtakes of same thing with different layouts of the pencils? I'd love to see if so.

I'm guessing he didn't draw that interesting portrait, is it then a portrait of him? Nice shot, nice concentration on his face. Not sure what the white lines are at the right of the table? I do like this being BW but find the sepia/ yellow too strong for me.
