Mirageby LevTComment: I'm not sure this needs selective desaturation, I think I'd prefer it without. But I really like the image itself, the portrait of this elderly couple in quiet conversation sitting infront of such a beautiful, almost timeless, view. |

Long ago in times untold...by awpollardComment: Great subject and I like the simple presentation. I wonder if a slightly different viewpoint would help avoid the corner shadow at the top right and whether a light reflector might help reduce shadows a touch to the right of the machine? Regardless, I do like the simplicity of what is presented and the wonderful patina of age. |

Split Rock Lighthouseby pitsamanComment: Nice framing using the foreground and foliage and bottom and left edges and to some extent, the darker area of cloud across the top. Lovely black and white conversion with wonderful high contrast. That sky is just fabulous. Composition rocks! |

sunshine on a cloudy dayby SkipComment: Cute! With their heads closer in and in a more accurate circle, and without the red outfit, they'd almost look like a human sunflower! |

On Putney Hillby JulieGComment: Like the image a lot but the processing - leading to those extreme halos around the silhouettes - is, to me, very offputting. Shame, as I think the silhouette subject matter is great fun, nicely captured and the sky too is great. |

Modern Classicby h2Comment: Great composition, lovely light and reflections, unusual almost abstract presentation of an everyday object. Works. |

Smileby bvoiComment: Hoorah for naturally purple subjects in a challenge with far too many non-purple subjects hue-shifted to meet the challenge! A charming portrait that truly captures a genuine and adorable expression! |
