Small Wonderby welcherComment: Like the choice of focusing on the hand rather than the face. Very different to the normal baby shots :) The bright blanket is distracting to me, and hurts an otherwise powerful image. I would have tried the same shot shifted to the right a little - rule of thirds wise the back of the hand would be in the 'ideal' position with the fingers leading the eye from the corner |

tractor 101by lecookComment: love the frustration on son and concern in father's eyes (for the tractor that is) :). IMO a tighter crop getting rid of the 'ugly' bits of the tractor may have worked better. Good DOF - shame they weren't a little bit further from the fence so that it could be more blurred too |

Dragon Boat Raceby BAMartinComment: lighting wasn't great for this photo, and greater DOF would have helped blur a busy background |

The Pouterby jmsetzlerComment: I like the idea here. Having the face along the diagonal of the photo works well. The forehead seems to have copped a lot of the light, which tends to emphasize it a little too much for my liking |

The Labor of My Handsby Crystal StreamsComment: an interesting person and photograph. Better if you hadn't cut off the top of his head, and gotten rid of the piece of paper behind him |

First Catchby SwashbucklerComment: I think I'd prefer to have focused on just one of the kids in the picture, and gotten closer. |

Liftoffby eesserComment: good effort. Great use of DOF. Think I'd prefer to see what he was actually leaping for. |

Catch n' Releaseby justineComment: Kinda funny fishing with no water :) Something about your subject having his back to the sign which doesn't sit right with me. Having him face the other way would make it feel more like the sign was incorporated as part of the photo, and probably shed a bit more light on his face at the same time. |

Eye Variationsby hokieComment: no idea how you've achieved this ... definitely one for the 'How'd They Do That' section. Very arty and very Big Brother. Seems to me like the main image isn't quite focused properly. |

Band Managerby jimmspComment: A good portrait photo. Nicely composed and lit. For some reason I keep thinking there is something missing ... perhaps a story behind it ... something to justify the drooped shoulders, head down, altogether defensive and depressed look. Maybe that's just the way he is :) |
