nest5.jpgby dolphnz8Comment: This is my favorite of the group you've posted. The way the parrot is stretching out to look is cute. What an amazing story this is. Thanks for sharing! |

Trick-or-Treat ( Inspired by Artoole)by Jaded_HousewifeComment: Yikes!!! But makes a good subject for an image. ;^) I like your composition and choice of negative space, it works well here. Just enough to look at, but not overwhelming with too much candy. Nice job. Good luck! |

With or Without Lead?by karmatComment: I've heard that with coffee (leaded or unleaded/caffiene or decaffienated), but not with lipstick. Nonetheless - I like your image. Nice angle used, the color works well, and the lighting seems about right. Best of luck in the challenge. |

Blackeyed Peas on New Year's - Money all Year!by crikComment: This is a fun idea. Your lighting is quite strong and even. Perhaps a bit too much negative space top right. Some is fine, maybe if you had fanned the bills a little? Good luck in the challenge. |

Myth: Man can fly.by JadeComment: Look out below! Hope he doesn't run into anybody on the beach! ;^) I like your choice of B/W here as color would be distracting. Image is a bit grainy and you've gotten some vignetting in the corners. Composition is very good. Overall a pleasing image. Good luck in the challenge. |

Black Cat Under The Ladder!by KitaComment: Nice play on words. Image is interesting. Couple of things puzzle me about your setup; why the reflector on the floor under her? why not open the ladder all the way? A white poster board positioned low and angled to your right would bounce light under her if that was the intent. Just curious...not a big deal really. Good luck in the challenge. |

"Three Butterflies Together Mean Good Luck"by scarbrdComment: Don't know that I've ever heard that one before. ;^) Makes for an interesting image however. Overall I like the composition of this, considering the challenge of a square crop. The angle of the branch works well and having 3 items for a subject generally comes across favorably. The major disappointment with this image is the focal point is off. It appears the the petals directly over the large butterfly is in focus, the rest of the image isn't. Hard to do I know, but a deeper aperture (depending on distance from subject) may have allowed you to get the large butterfly (at a minumum) and possibly all three, in focus.
Anyway...best of luck in the challenge. |
