 Hangliders were taking off the bluff in Hermosa/Redondo. I had my camera along for a bikeride and caught this cool picture... would've liked a nice sunset-though, darn overcast days. Added some brightness and lots of contrast along with black & white to achieve the old-fashioned look.

What I like: I like the idea of the image and the graniness in the execution. I think the grain adds to the effect of the image.

What I didn't like: I took a point off for light because the image lacks a 'punch' in my opinion. I know you couldn't control the light and I'm not sure if that point should have been taken for exposure instead. Perhaps the image is too dark?

Nice shot - reminds me of the Wright brothers on the beach. But a bit of a stretch as a myth.

Look out below! Hope he doesn't run into anybody on the beach! ;^) I like your choice of B/W here as color would be distracting. Image is a bit grainy and you've gotten some vignetting in the corners. Composition is very good. Overall a pleasing image. Good luck in the challenge.

A bit dark. I'd have tried to pull up on the midtones. Decent composition. Sorta a stretch on the challenge, but I'll take it.

The picture it's a little bit grainy and dark.
