My mum had this costume so I asked her to put it on for this challenge. I got my Dad and his friend to hold the backboard and put the ladder in place. I used the mirror mum used for her challenge entry and got mum to climb under the ladder for me. It was hard work because Dad and his friend kept making me laugh.

Mum was uncomfortable because of the odd position. We had fun though and lots of laughs. I chose this image even though Mum was fixing her hair at the time, cause it looked like a cat preening herself.

I'm totally supporting the pose you decided to go with. Althought it made the shot unconventional, and maybe not as appealing to the majority of voters, it also did a good job in showing a feline nature, not just a woman playing dressup (as I feel looking in the camera would have shown more of). Congrats for sticking to what you think is best and thanks for sharing this image with us.

Heh, I'm a little surprised at the age of the shooter here... Not so much that she would think of taking this or that she would do such an amazing job of it, but more that she would be aware of such curious items that mum owns...

I wouldn't be surprised if Dr Jones came by and gave a little nod...

What I liked: Good idea, well executed.

What I didn't like: Position of the models hands. The angle of the face with the expression.

Excellent twist on the three old superstitions, however it would have been far more effective had your model been facing the camera and making eye contact with the camera. That would improve the shot from a 7 to a 9 at least.

Also, good on you for tackling more than one theme at a time! Great work.

Professional looking photo but I'm not keen on the border, I think the black line to too thick.

She doesn't seem too happy to be under that ladder either, and the squatting pose makes you think she's about to tinkle. It took me a while to see the mirror. Maybe the image would have more appeal if the model had a more mischievous "come hither" look at the camera, like a playful kitten inviting the viewer to join her in some trouble.

Nice play on words. Image is interesting. Couple of things puzzle me about your setup; why the reflector on the floor under her? why not open the ladder all the way? A white poster board positioned low and angled to your right would bounce light under her if that was the intent. Just curious...not a big deal really. Good luck in the challenge.

Nice setup and lighting in this one. The broken mirror and whip are really unnesessary. I think having the black cat under the ladder, probably engaging the viewer with her eyes would have made for a better photo and help keep the photo more focused.

A very eye catching pic. It caught my eye from the challenge pic and I 'had' to click on it. I didn't have time to vote for this challenge but now I'll have to cause I want my vote for your pic to count.

I took a few pics of a black cat to see how they'd turn out, but then I figured I'd be seeing a few black cats in this challenge...I like your black cat A LOT BETTER than mine!!!

Interesting shot but it's not really the superstition I've heard, more sort of a combination of superstitions.

interesting idea of putting a few superstitions together in one photo however the models pose looks really weird in this shot. she looks like she just spilled something on her shirt and shes looking at it. ya know? its an odd pose to say the least.

nice picture, but the "cat" looks squshed, she needs to be a little more relax in my opinion. 7.

Don't know this superstition alone... but there are three seperate ones I see.

Personaly I don't care for this image, it was cute useing a catwoman costume, but to me, it doesn't work. Maybe more of a dramatic angle, get rid of the whip, and show more of the reflection in the shattered mirror of her and the latter, and less of it first hand.

Hehe... this is what I call a cat! ;) Nice composition of several popular signs. I like the slightly chaotic situation under the ladder.

LOL. Love the idea but I would have loved it more if she was in a sexier pose and not looking so cramped. Say lose the glass and have her positioned on her stomach reaching out with her hand/paw towards the camera. Did I really suggest that? :P
