Fractionby TrexXComment: This image reads to me as a nice experiment but I stil think "so what; what is this image trying to tell me?". Why are these pencils in the water other than for purposes of an experiment? The refraction and the water make for pleasing effects. 5 Journey |

Hard No. 2by TomNTexasComment: The model's expression seems rather tentative, sorta: "is this what you (the photographer) want me to do and look?". The lighting isn't pleasing to me. Too much darks in the right side of the face and no subtle gradation from subject to background. 6 Journey |

Morning Ritualby KathycComment: Nice idea. Just wished you would have gotten rid of that top left corner background; it mars the image. Journey |

Lips Say It Allby CreativeFlyPhotoComment: This is a beautiful image. Don't understand the title and don't recognize the pencils but I presume they are really pencils. I love the shadow play in this image. The right pencil ends unfortunately dead center but it is mitigated by the placement of the shadows. Good job. Journey |

v .00by GordonComment: That's pretty doggone cool. The title is good too and I see it depicted in the shape of the pencils. I love how the pencils fade into blurriness and are very sharp in the foreground. Wonder how you did this; would like to learn this technique. I'm impressed. 7 for now for my first round of voting but will definitely re-visit lateron this week. Congrats. Journey Update: The stark simplicity of this image really makes a lot of impact on me. Technically and artistically a great image. 9 Journey Final score: 10 Journey |

pencil distortionby shutterflyComment: This is a very interesting and original presentation of the mundane pencil. Wonder how you did this. Ice? What I find somewhat unfortunate is that the middle pencilsin the foreground row and also in the background row are so blurred. Also, the light on the left pencils are somewhat bothersome. I will revisit this one lateron this week. I do appreciate originality and effort a lot though!. Journey |

More than meets the eye...by HBunchComment: Nice touch how you actually used an eye pencil to draw on a drawing. Clever! Good clarity and good composition. Original too. What I don't like is the finger on the foreground. Because it is so close to the lens it is badly distorted and it reads as a very ugly shape. Because it is in the foreground it attracts quite a bit of attention, too. Otherwise great. 6 Journey |

Sharpby mciComment: New???? Nice image though. It looks rather contrived because I suspect the ketchup is only there for photographic effect. |

Thin Iceby GeneralEComment: I'm not getting what's new about this but that's probably me. I see a few nice things happening here but all in all this does not grab me. |
