Egg, brown or white?by cabaComment: Really nice shot. You managed to maintain the eggshell's texture even in the most brightly lit area. Once this Basic rules contest is over, I think it might make the white vs brown coloring stand out even more if you darkened the background a bit, or made it white. Good job! |

I rejoice again and againby Herblacklist12Comment: Very colorful subject and a nice composition. I think I would like an even brighter light source to make those colors really stand out. That would also make the BG a bit more lively. But I like this shot a lot and hope that you will use this subject to continue experimenting with light. Nice job! |

Obviously you can't clean up little spots because of te Basic rules, but I do think that a brighter light source would have made this photo stand out a bit more and helped clean up some of the BG noise. But I like the idea and the photo came out very nice. Good job! |
