I have no idea what he is talking about, how else could I get the egg two colors, just look at the highlights makes it obvious enough, clearly louddog didn't understand this challenge, as his score shows. Anyway, I had fun and learned a thing or two with this one. |

| Really nice shot. You managed to maintain the eggshell's texture even in the most brightly lit area. Once this Basic rules contest is over, I think it might make the white vs brown coloring stand out even more if you darkened the background a bit, or made it white. Good job! |

| Wonderfully elegant and simple composition that puts this shot above most others - the texture and luminesence of the shell is great along with the highlight around the edge to firmly define the edges. |

| Simple but elegant rendering of the theme. Hope it does well in the voting. Good comp, levels, color and contrast. Bright spot on the egg is a bit hot. Don't know if you could have improved with just basic editing, thogh. (9) |

| I thought this was one of the coolest compositions in the challenge. It was also one of the few times that I liked a photo that had hightlights that clipped, but I did. Nice shot. |
