Glassfish2by KathycComment: What I like:
- the colorful paperweight against the grainy wood
What I don't like:
- I can tell it is a paper wait, but can't make out what it is suppose to be- the title and contest make me think fish- but I don't see fish
Overall: perhaps a different angle would make what the paper weight is a bit more obvious. |

nettedby AbraComment: What I like:
- the net really pops here with a good focus/ sharpness on the net's details
What I don't like:
-this picture just isn't visually interesting to me.
Overall: I can see the net and water but I just don't have an emotional connection to it. |

fishby RKTComment: What I like:
- the stripes/ spots on the fish and the texture of the fish's scales work great in b/w.
What I don't like:
- whatever effect was used to make this look like an old scratched up print.
Overall: I didn't like the framing at first, wishing the fish wasn't cut out in the crop. But I like it the more I look. This one is growing on me. |

Seafood in the Old Townby Bear_MusicComment: What I like:
- the setting, wherever this was taken, it looks gorgeous!
- light is very pretty
What I don't like
- I am more visually interested in the scenery around the fish than the fish. I love those green shutters!
Overall: for me this shot is attention grabbing for the background rather than the subject |

Global Impactby LydiaComment: What I like
- this is a neat shot, live all the refections on the glass
What I don't like
- wish framing was a bit different. I think it looks better if some of the left side us cropped so that the glass isn't dead center in the shot
Overall: nicely done. Looks like an advert for PETA or an environmental group. |

The Imposterby glad2badadComment: What I like:
- the set up/ idea of this shot.
What I don't like
- while the imposter pops in this scene, the actual fish does not. Focus on real fish is also blurred.
Overall: position of the live fish makes it take up very little of the frame and therefor a bit hard to see. |

Wonderby markwileyComment: What I like
- reflection of the child
- has je ne sais quoi
What I don't like
- child's foot is cut out of frame
- overhead lighting. If this was candid, no way to help that... But if staged, an assistant with a diffuser screen would have been nice, I think, to cut down on some of the overhead light.
Overall: lovely shot of childhood wonder. |

Fish Recipeby DCrest01Comment: What I like:
- exposure looks great
- visually interesting
What I don't like
- set up, everything is partially cut out of the frame. I can't really pit into words why this bothers me, but it does.
Overall: that said- not sure if this picture would be better with everything in frame. This picture doesn't excite me. |

Colour my worldby JudiComment: What I like:
- beautiful colors
- nice focus, DoF nicely done.
What I don't like:
- image is a tad too sharp, halos are visible around the fish
Overall: editing is off a bit
Comments made on phone, score to follow- sorry for any typos. |

Jellyfish Farm Bluesby LuciemacComment: What I like:
- the monotone
- the subject- jellyfish are so pretty
What I don't like
- I can see the corner of the fish tank in the background. The harsh line is distracting from the subject
- focus is a bit soft
Overall: color is beautiful, But I'm not so fond of the framing/ placement of the subject. |
