Butterfly Restingby indigo997Comment: Composition- subject isolated pretty well. Too bad the the butterflies wing blurred into that front part of the fence. Background- Good except for as noted above. Technical-seems to be "chopped in half both horizontally and diagonally. Overall Impression- I like the subject, meets the challenge, some technical issues. |

The Thinkerby DavidComment: awwwww.......This is a very adorable shot. My favorite of the contest! 10. A few minor technical problems, but proof that with the right subject it does not matter. |

Queen's Gambitby jmsetzlerComment: Composition-good job bringing the eye to the coin. Nice use of diagonal lines, selective DOF to isolate the subject. Background-Subject to background relationship may be misunderstood by some. Camera Work/Technical- What can I say its very good! Overall Opinion- A good shot. No big emotional thing happening, but the overall technical outweighs that part. The use of a foreign coin does bring a lot of interest to it and in fact may tie the background in by featuring a queen. Overall I like it. ... 8. |

Upside Down Glockby David EyComment: Sure would like to hear about this background...What is it? I dont get the correlation between the background the gun and the cup. |

29874090by fjComment: Composition- Good job isolating the subject, assuming you are trying to show the bolt and the serial number as your subject. The 2 screws at the bottom might be a distraction. Perhaps they belong completely in the shot, might have helped with framing. Background- all part of the whole, no way to change it and no reason to either. Technical- very nice focus, good exposure especially with the use of a flash. Overall Impression- Meets the challenge, technically good, at the least I am wondering what this is part of (garbage disposal?) Not a terribly interesting subject to begin with, but a good photo of it anyway... 7. |

Cat Napby shedonistComment: Composition-Good job isolating the subject. Background-works with this picture, does not add or distract. Except to make the cat look very comfy, which was perhaps the point. Technical-There is nothing really wrong with it. Overall impression- Technically its a good shot, I might have changed the framing slightly to leave less "background" in the lower right. I also might have tried to eliminate the white specks thruout. ....7. |

Coins in the Sky by zaynoComment: I really like the coins in the bottom of the fountain. You must be someplace really cold. Even in Michigan we have leaves on the trees at this point! Seriously, nice job. |
