| The color and texture of this picture just doesn't do anything for me. It is kinda "jagged" in several areas (higher resolution next time, if possible), and it seems to be out of focus. If that was your intention, congrats. Also, I read your defense in the forums -- abstract art isn't necessarily just art that can't be deciphered, it has a purpose. To me that purpose may be different to everyone, and that is where the abstractness comes in. I can't tell the message you are conveying here, nor do I really want to try, because of the basic elements that are lacking (focus, composition, etc.). Give me the same picture with good color and focus, and your score would've been higher. |

| You've only used 1/3 of the allowable file size, and the compression really shows. Having some trouble a) knowing what I'm looking at (aside from being sure it's anatomical and partially hairy - better clarity and less compressino would help here) and b) understanding how it relates to the challenge. Possibly a more interesting abstract in B/W to even out the skin tones a bit. |

| The colors are unattractive, and the compression artifacts are terribly distracting. When you can see the artifacts in the thumbnail, you know you're in trouble. Although it is abstract at a smaller size, at 640x480 it's much too recognizeable to be an abstract, but still too abstract to be anything else. If you intended to emphasize the upwards curvature, a vertical composition would have helped. Neither thought nor effort seems to have been put into this photo. |

| I really enjoy this photo because it's such a puzzle. Any closely cropped part of the human body with hair *always* leads people to jump to rude conclusions :). However, it's hard to tell whether or not this is rude, or whether or not it's upside down, so I expect a few disqualification calls.... bah. It's a cool idea. Shame about the low resolution. |
