DAY 10, B&W .. bethany ..by rozComment by Alicia: Wow, Roz - beautifully clear, luminous, soft and pretty. You did Beth justice and created a gorgeous portrait! Considering the ISO, the quality is excellent. |

DAY 9. B&W. to my mum ...by rozComment by SandyP: This makes such a beautiful triptych! I love how you have used a white background on the middle one to give all 3 photos a frame!
I'm so sorry about your losing your mom :( I lost my mom 3 years ago, and my heart is still so tender over the loss that I can find myself weeping at any moment that I think or talk about her. These are gorgeous flowers for her!

DAY 10, B&W .. bethany ..by rozComment by SandyP: Roz!!! This is PRECIOUS! She does look kind of like she's posing, but it looks naturally "unposed" too with her hands over her face like that. I adore those little freckles, and the way you have processed this. This may be one of my favorites of your photos. I'm impressed too that you got it so focused and sharp with only a 1/50 shutter speed!

DAY 9. B&W. to my mum ...by rozComment by alexjack: sorry to hear about your mother, these are beautiful shots and I'm sure the flowers themselves were specatcular. What I really like most are the multiple soft, sweeping curves, repeated through out all three images, with the brightest area for the two outside pictures being the center of the image, the main subject. This is contrasted with the very bright background of the second image and made even harsher with the straight hard transition between the first and second (reading from L to R)That doesn't work too well for me, this might even work better as a dyptich with just the first and third. Regardless, all three images are fantastic shots and work really well in b&w.
