me and my daughter aLi were sitting on the lounge with katee (the dog) ... she would have to be the most loved and cherished dog in the whole world .. she is also photographed a lot !!!

late afternoon, and it was getting a bit dark in the room, so i opened the blinds which gives that light on the left hand side .. i took about 15 shots really quick and katee was moving around in all of them .. then i had to go out... (i was on 1/25sec for these shots)
when i got home i downloaded them .. aLi looked so beautiful & i wanted to create something nice for her, so i just started mucking around with them in photoshop ..
i combined three photographs ... and while i was processing i was thinking of the b&w challenge .. i quite like the results of this processing, FOR A CHANGE ..

This takes a wee bit of deciphering...but just oh so worth it. Great one!

First of all, your daughter is stunningly beautiful! Second, this is a phenominal composition - it's unusual, creative, and fascinating. That one eye on the right side of the photo just captivates the viewer from the get-go. VERY nice work, Roz!

That's beautiful, Roz. The eyes in various portions of the picture are amazing and really make the composition extremely compelling. The processing is fantastic - very clear and soft at the same time. Your story is a hoot, of course. :o)

There's so many interesting beautiful things to study and enjoy here. I too love how you processed this, and the high key light in some of them keep it from being too dark all over since it is a collage, it blends very well.

I'd love to see some of your glam shots of aLi by herself too. She is very beautiful!

I like the photos but when I look at the collection I see something else. To me this looks to tell a story that is more fractured and fleeting. (I'm not saying that about you or your family of course, :-))Part of the reason for that is the reduced opacity of some of the pictures which look like memories fading away. Really powerful technic. I agree with Jon, you really are a master at collages and story telling, which is a wonderful gift.

Interesting montage, to be honest I really like the image of ali on the left and the half face on the right (which is part of the broader background) is outstanding so much expression in that single eye (which btw is toned to perfection)

For me the other two pics dont necessarily add that much to the montage (that is not to say they are not good pics, but they seem to clutter the overall picture a bit). Having said that I say look at your triptych portfolio and look at my one effort at this (in the competition) and ask yourself...does this joker really know what he is talking about in terms of multiple images
