Thoughtlessby MinsoPhotoComment by mgarsteck: Yeah, I love this shot. What I think makes it awesome is the fact it looks like a painting and that it has a 3d texture. Very well done on this one |

Weeping Willowby MinsoPhotoComment by macrothing: 4 - Don't mind the concept but I find the composition is unstructured (could be intentional) and the colors harsh and clashy. The white inner border detracts, in my opinion. |

Weeping Willowby MinsoPhotoComment by Sirashley: I like the lens baby effect... The colors and border look good too. This photo gives me the effect of being driven into a Jackson Pollock piece at 150MPH... I like it, makes me think..> Well done! |

Leilana-Portrait-on-Black2.jpgby MinsoPhotoComment by Dirt_Diver: this photo is better than the first one I looked at but at the same time I would move the light to allow it to hit the top of her hair and spill down.
Another thing I would do is move your lights closer to your subject. I know you don't have control over the amount of light but I would bring the lights just a little closer. |

Leilana-Portrait-on-Black.jpgby MinsoPhotoComment by Dirt_Diver: I think you have too much light on the hair and not the face. The most important part of almost any portrait is the face.
Don't get me wrong, the light on the hair is still good but you just need to move some light to her face. I would also adjust the light from hitting the back of her head to make it hit the top of her head and let it spill down onto the rest of her hair and shoulders.
Also I think your white balance is off some. Try adjusting it to somewhere around 5300k. Message edited by author 2010-03-12 15:26:56. |

Weeping Willowby MinsoPhotoComment by Louis: Much too busy for me to appreciate photographically, much too recognizable for me to acknowledge its abstraction. Not in the category "fine art" in my opinion. |
